Seaholm PTSA Goals

The main role of the Seaholm Parent Teacher Association (PTSA) is to build strong working and collaborative relationships among parents, teachers and schools, in support of our students.

The PTSA is a partnership between parents and educators who strive to enhance student learning and enrich the lives of our students in high school. It is also a forum for communication with parents, to obtain knowledge and voice your perspectives about what is happening at school.

The PTSA's primary goal is to increase parent and teacher membership and participation by more clearly defining and delivering on the relevancy of the Seaholm PTSA for parents and teachers.

• Support broader Seaholm teacher, department, and student education learning needs through increased donations/ contributions
• Achieve 50% Family Membership and Direct Donation participation
• Provide webinars on relevant topics that support the parent community.
• Conduct surveys to gather feedback and perspective from parents and teachers on the needs and expectations of PTSA.
• Advocate for student participation in and feedback to PTSA.
• Support, where and as appropriate, the current online learning environment.

PTSA Membership

PTSA for your CHILD - Become a member of the Parent Teacher Student Association and actively participate in impacting your high school student’s experience, both their educational learning and their emotional health and wellbeing.  Your membership dues will help to support many programs and events throughout the year including: Student Activity Fair, New Families Night, Community Outreach, Reflections Program, Staff Appreciation events, Parent Communications, and more

PTSA Direct Donation – aka Maple Money

Your annual PTSA Direct Donation or ‘Maple Money” supports a variety of enrichment grants awarded each year to our Seaholm teachers as well as school enhancement needs.  100% of these teacher grants are funded by your PTSA Direct Donation and will directly benefit your student.  In addition to specific teacher grants, Direct Donations also support school enhancement needs identified by administration, department chairs and student leadership. 

We suggest a donation of $75 for families with one student and $125 for families with multiple students.  Many families donate more than these suggested amounts.

Over the past decade Direct Donation Maple Money donations, totaling more than $130,000, have funded programs and equipment across a variety of academic and activity areas.  YOUR STUDENT WILL DIRECTLY BENEFIT from the money spent to enrich their Seaholm experience.  Examples of recent grants include:

• Direct Donation is the major PTSA FUNDRAISER for the school year.
• Direct Donation is a no-hassle, no-sell no -buy fundraiser to support student learning.
• Direct Donation is payable by check through mail OR easy Venmo online payment.
• Direct Donation is 100% tax deductible.
• Robotics engineering equipment           
• Biology microscopes   
• Revitalize College & Career Center         
• Fitness Center equipment         
• Photo & graphic imaging equipment

The PTSA offers grants on an annual basis each fall and are utilized to further enhance the educational experience of Seaholm students while benefiting as many students as possible.

Each year, Seaholm families are asked to make a PTSA Direct Donation (formerly Maple Money), which is used to fund teacher grants. .

Additionally, we approve grants throughout the year, as funds allow.

Seaholm Faculty: If you are interested in applying for a grant;

• You must be a PTSA member in good standing in order to apply ($10 membership fee).
• Please see the Grant Applications tab.

Grant Application:

Thank you for your interest in applying for a grant to benefit the students of Seaholm High School. The grant application process typically happens once a year in the fall. Additional grants are sometimes approved during the year, as funds allow.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR CONTRIBUTING TO THIS WONDERFUL EVENT!

The names of all Seaholm Faculty/Staff members are placed in a box in the beginning of the year. Each month, names are drawn, without being returned to the box. 

After the names are announced by Mr. Wicker, all of the award recipients run down to his office.  Everyone has a lot of fun selecting their gifts!

Please label your gift, so winning staffers know whom to thank.  Also, please bring it to Kathy Tenjeras, Principal's Secretary, in the Seaholm Office Monday - Thursday each week there will be a drawing. 

No alcohol, please.
